I just found a site dedicated to listing all the iPhone travel apps out there! It’s a search engine for Travel Apps. I added it to my links on the right ;) very cool! I think the most valuable part of the site is the Top 8 Travel Apps Section. Here are the Top 8 Free and Paid Travel Apps in America.

Truphone recently launched Local Anywhere. I think it’s pretty cool. It allows you to make calls at local rates by purchasing their international sim card, so it’ll be very convenient for frequent travellers. Not having to manage various SIMs and unlocking and searching and topping up would be great.

We realized technology can make a traveler’s experience fantastic, problem free, and enhanced. Imagine never getting lost in a foreign city. Having access to email and internet anywhere. Being able to take pictures and videos and uploading it to Facebook on the spot. Imagine receiving and making calls for free without worrying about your roaming bill.

LONDON – Nike Sportswear has launched a free iPhone app, True City, giving access to a live community of “tastemakers” sharing what’s happening in six European cities including London and Berlin.
The cities covered by the app are London, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris. Locals, dubbed Nike Insiders, will keep the community up to date with the latest events in their cities.
